TRICARE Prime® Joins the Ranks…in Providing Urgent Care access to TRICARE Prime® beneficiaries TRICARE ® News While US Family Health Plan members have always enjoyed the benefit of unlimited urgent care access without the need for a referral; policymakers have made it mandatory for TRICARE Prime® to provide this benefit as well. Lawmakers included a change that removes the requirement for TRICARE Prime® users to receive referrals for urgent care. Right now all TRICARE Prime® users can get two free urgent care visits a year without a referral. The new policy takes away that referral requirement entirely, giving unlimited urgent care visits. We’ll let you know when this goes into effect. Effective Dec 1st TRICARE® no longer covers prescriptions filled at CVS for some beneficiaries. This change does not affect US Family Health Plan TRICARE Prime® members. US Family Health members can continue to use CVS to fill prescriptions. We continue to have a long standing relationship with all pharmacy chains that serve military families. The attendees are from all parts of NJ as well as Downstate NY and southeast PA. We anticipate a larger turnout this year because of the 100th Anniversary of Ft.
